CALL FOR SHORT PAPERS: Deadline for Short Paper Submissions is March 28, 2011

We invite you to participate in the 13th IEEE International Conference on e-Health Networking, Application & Services (IEEE Healthcom2011).
There are still opportunities for authors to contribute to the conference. Due to the overwhelming interest in the short paper format, the conference will continue to solicit short/position papers (4 pages).

The conference particularly encourages authors to present their ongoing research (academia) and development (industry). Authors of short papers will give brief oral presentations followed by poster sessions for interactive discussions. Best papers will be awarded in three categories: full, short, and student papers.
Authors of selected papers (both full and short papers) will be invited to submit an extended version of their contribution to the following journal special issues: IEEE Communications Magazine Special Issue on “Communications in Ubiquitous Healthcare” to be published in January 2012; Journal of eHealth Technology and Applications Special Issue on mHealth (authors should check mHealth special track for the short paper submission); and The International Journal on E-Health and Medical Communications.

The main theme of Healthcom 2011 is “technology-enabled personalized medicine” to provide preventive and therapeutic care that is optimized for individual patient subpopulations. The advancement of m-Health (mobile device technologies, networking, telecommunications), e-Health (electronic health records, telemedicine, consumer health informatics), and genomics (high-throughput sequencing of human genome), will make personalized medicine possible and affordable in the near future. Healthcom 2011 is an opportunity to bring together interested parties from around the world working in the health care field to exchange ideas, to discuss innovative and emerging solutions, and to develop collaborations. Participants include clinicians, hospital administrators, government agencies, informaticians, engineers, IT professionals, researchers, educators, healthcare solutions vendors, consultants, and students.
