Non Linear Transmission Line (NLTL) technologies `F1dyf!p<  
have been proposed over a number of years as a means 'F_}xMU  
of achieving various high power pulse shaping ?ApRJm:T  
functions. BAE SYSTEMS has been involved in the womq^h6  
development of a particular form of NLTL technology i^|@"+  
capable of producing high power pulsed RF /8eW@IO.F  
waveforms with frequencies between 100's of MHz P#tvm,  
and 1-2GHz and with powers of the order of 25MW |O (G nsZ  
and above. Benefits due to the use of NLTLs are the jXIE
p01  
all-solid-state nature of the RF modulator system and Vewzo1G2  
the accurate pulse to pulse frequency and timing y4F^|kS) [  
control which may be achieved. In this paper the ,b'4CF  
fundamentals of the technology are explored and the -J$g(sikt  
potential for a system to array a number of NLTL |-kEGLH[*V  
elements and produce extremely high peak powers and 960qvz!
