Abstract - In order to improve the performance of protection /P[u vO  
systems of generators against armature faults, it is desirous to yP-$@Ry  
study the operation of synchronous machines with internal faults Gl{2"!mt=  
iri stator windings. For this purpose, based on the multi-loop 7Y.yl F:  
m.odel and FEM, a saturate model of synchronous generators is JT6Be8   
e:;tablished. The state equation of the multi-loop model is timestepped "\9beK:l  
forward, during which FEM is used to calculate the B[w.8e5  
winding EMF under saturate condition. The full synergic effects "3 2Ua3m:G
