[仿真]3D Field simulation of sparse arrays using various solver techniques

Abstract — The design process of a sparse array can be a
challenging task for a 3D EM simulator due to the complexity of
the problem. Usually a 3D EM field simulator applies a single
solver method like FDTD, FEM or MoM to all problem types.
Whereas the analysis and optimization of single antenna
elements and its next neighbors might be well suited to a
particular solver method, the same method might not be
appropriate for the simulation of a complete array with a large
number of sparsely placed elements. The implementation of
several solvers methods in a single program will give the design
engineer the flexibility to choose the most appropriate solver for
a particular problem type. This paper will give an overview of
the different volume and surface mesh based solver methods in
CST MICROWAVE STUDIO® (CST MWS). The strengths and
weaknesses of the different solvers methods will be discussed
using the construction process of a sparse array from the
optimization of a single radiation element to the simulation of
the complete array as a design example.
