[仿真]Bridging Circuits and Electromagnetics in a Curriculum aimed at Microelectronic

Higher operating frequencies and increased integration x,dv~QU  
have led to electromagnetic effects being ubiquitous in 3c3Z"JV  
microelectronics for digital, analog, and RF applications at DO1{r/Ib.{  
the board, package, and chip levels. Classical curricula l'T0<  
have tended to teach circuits and electromagnetics as two E'8Bw7Tz  
distinct areas. This paper presents courses at the University AF$o>f  
of Washington that aim to bridge the circuit-electromagnetic m #QI*R XP  
gap by teaching electromagnetics top-down “on demand” }D+8K  
i.e. at the level of complexity required for a given F21[r!3  
application rather than the bottom-up approach of classical gxM8IQ
