[EMC]A Practical Approach to EMC Education at the Undergraduate Level

Abstract—In view of the importance of electromagnetic compatibility OMLU ;,4  
(EMC), universities worldwide are paying more attention to Yj

training electronic engineers with goodEMCdesign knowledge. As XZ%,h  
part of the EMC training, a practical printed circuit board (PCB) <<>+z5D+  
layout project has been offered as an elective to the undergraduates .#yg=t1C  
in the authors’ universities. The project requires the students _@ao$)q{J  
to design the PCB layout of a standard digital circuit twice, the first q|D5 A|)  
time with no EMC consideration at all, and the second time with huC{SzXM  
careful EMC consideration. The significant difference in the levels c|?(

of radiated emissions of the two layouts allows the students to appreciate
