[EMC]A Practical Approach to EMC Education at the Undergraduate Level

Abstract—In view of the importance of electromagnetic compatibility ~#4~_d.=L  
(EMC), universities worldwide are paying more attention to hIo0S8MOj$  
training electronic engineers with goodEMCdesign knowledge. As ib; yu_  
part of the EMC training, a practical printed circuit board (PCB) xEC2@J  
layout project has been offered as an elective to the undergraduates ])UwC-l  
in the authors’ universities. The project requires the students 1a*6ZGk.  
to design the PCB layout of a standard digital circuit twice, the first H`gb}?9R  
time with no EMC consideration at all, and the second time with H:{?3gk.P3  
careful EMC consideration. The significant difference in the levels Kr]W o8dWy  
of radiated emissions of the two layouts allows the students to appreciate
