The National Ignition Facility (NIF) Power |Gb"%5YD  
Conditioning System (PCS) is a modular capacitive SqTO~zGC  
energy storage system that will be capable of storing HP2]b?C  
nearly 400 MJ of electrical energy and delivering that t7("geN]  
energy to the nearly 8000 flashlamps in the NIF laser. 3ADTYt".  
The first sixteen modules of the power conditioning u~6`9'Ms  
system have been built, tested and installed. Activation of INsc!xOQ
