Abstract: A technique for the analysis of electromagnetically F`5

antennas fed by coaxial probes is presented. It is bqRO-\vO  
based on the electric field integral equation and e4-7&8N+  
exploits the Galerkin procedure in the spectral +kT o$_Wkz  
domain for the solution of the equation. The technique aV G4Df  
is used to investigate the characteristics of a LR y&/d  
two-layer stacked rectangular patch antenna. The 92M_Z1_w[  
effects of substrate material, patch size, patch displacement z}2  
and radome on the input impedance or 9Nu:{_Yo
P  
on radiation patterns are presented. The results td|O#R  
shed light on the direction of changes in the A<{&?_U  
antenna’s characteristics with the above mentioned $rH}2  
parameters and hence are useful, when 3'[ g2JR  
designing to shift the resonant frequencies, equalise g>-u9%aa
