Abstract—We present a fast and accurate closed-form model for interactive @[FFYVru  
computer-aided design and optimization of circular microstrip }w-`J5Eq#  
antennas on suspended or composite substrates. The model facilitates the 7q^/.:wlf  
computation of the resonance frequency,input impedance and bandwidth. WuNu}Ibl}m  
We compare the results obtained with the proposed model with those from 2ga}d5lu  
commercial software (2D-Ensemble and 3D-Microwave Studio),pr eviously TdE_\gEo/R  
published experimental results and previously obtained theoretical =#V11j  
results using another full-wave method. The proposed model shows better DA wzXsx  
agreement with experimental results as compared to the commercial k9
n  
two-dimensional and three-dimensional software. Although all theoretical j |i6/Pk9J  
results show reasonable agreement among themselves,the proposed model gU~)(|Nu.  
is at least one thousand times faster than full-wave software. ua[\npz5
