By adding a loop to an exponentially flared PeGL Rbx34  
TEM horn and properly adjusting the loop structure, hXdc5 ?i?  
a TEM hom antenna with low-frequency CrC1&F\dq  
compensation is designed. The added loop structure, UR6.zE4=_  
together with the hom a m , provide:an equivalent v'0A$`w`  
magnetic-dipole moment at low frequency to !K^.r_0H.  
combine with the electric-dipole moment formed DK 4 8  
between the two arms of the TEM hom. The lowfrequency )p'ZSXb  
radiation can be enhanced effectively P.

when the two moments meet the balance condition.

The performance of the designed TEM hom & .VciSq6  
antenna, including the radiated field stiengths on O_aZ\28};C  
and off the bore-sight direction, the front-to-back !a?$
 
ratio, the reflection from insides of the hom, and 1P(rgn:8e  
the field dist?ibution on the hom aperture, is studied $6.CN#  
and compared to ordinary TEM hom by using %[0V>
