[天线]Theory and experiment of circularly polarized dielectric resonator antenna with a parasitic patch

[ Abstract—The use of a single parasitic patch for circular R*eM 1  
polarization (CP) excitation of the dielectric resonator antenna {:OVBX  
(DRA) is investigated. For demonstration, the technique is applied r74w[6(  
to the conformal-strip fed hemispherical DRA, excited at the >Nl~"J|]q  
fundamental TE111 mode. Using the Green’s function approach, ~6i mkv^ F  
the integral equations for the conformal-strip and parasitic-patch ([o:_5/8I  
currents are formulated by matching the appropriate boundary Jn&>Z? @  
conditions. The equations are then solved using the method of 8>;o MM  
moments (MoM). In using the MoM, both the rigorous and ,?~,"IQyi[  
simplified current expansions are used for the parasitic patch, Xb 1^Oj  
and their results are compared with each other. In each case, the #N}}8RL  
impedance integrals are evaluated by virtue of newly obtained |ema-pRC  
recurrence formulas and direct analytical integration. Hence, the t1s@Ub5);I  
results can be calculated very efficiently without the need for any 4tNgK[6M  
numerical integration, which greatly facilitates the numerical {j*+:Gj0V  
implementation. The input impedance, axial ratio, and radiation m|FONQ,@D  
patterns of the CP DRA are calculated, and the results are in good T7_rnEOO   
agreement w .. t
