[table=526px][tr][td]The International Workshop on Antenna Technology – iWAT – is an IEEE annual event aiming at bringing together academia and industrial communities in a forum for fruitful exchange of information on the progress of research and development in innovative antenna technologies and in advanced artificial materials for antennas. c8Q]!p+Yp  
[/td][/tr][tr][td][/td][/tr][tr][td] [/td][/tr][tr][td] [/td][/tr][tr][td]The first edition was successfully held in Singapore in 2005 (iWAT’05) established by Dr Zhi Ning Chen, with about 160 participants and 120 technical papers. The second edition, iWAT’06 was held in New York, USA. The 2007 edition (iWAT’07) was in Cambridge, UK. In 2008, (iWAT’08) was in Chiba, Japan, attended by more than 210 people from 27 different countries and 145 technical papers were presented. The 2009 edition (iWAT’09) moved to Santa Monica, California, USA. <xJ/y|{

This is only the international event which focused on R&D of small antennas and relevant topics. It is an excellent platform to allow researchers and engineers from industry and academia to sit side by side to exchane ideas and information in this area.
