Typical modulators for magnetrons are based usually w.X MyHj  
on the lamp or thyratron switches [1]. Now powerful and Q3"{v0  
reliable solid state switches are available, which can w2X0.2)P2  
compete with lamps and thyratrons in power and J,(@1R]KF:  
switching time, but its lifetime is much longer. The fab.%$  
MOSFET and IGBT transistors are examples of such H1Jk_@b  
switches. Information has been appeared already about aW=c.Q.  
development of the magnetron modulators based on yxk:5L \A  
transistors [2]. This modulator has been developed as yM}~]aQ y  
power supply for the RF magnetron with output pulse _nwsIjsW  
power of 3 MW and average power 10 kW. One hundred NVnId p  
IGBT transistors, connected in parallel, are employed in WoV"&9y  
the modulator to commute its capacitors on the pulse !WSY75  
transformer primary winding. Pulse is generated on the Y8v13"P6  
secondary winding with 50 kV voltage, 100 A current, C GN=kQ  
0.6¸6 ms pulse length and frequency up to 2 kHz. c~``)N
