Experimental investigations are carried out for two con® gurations, namely a driven %{_ YJXpO  
hexagonal patch and an electromagnetically coupled microstrip antenna (EMCA), %hb5C 4q  
with di€ erent dielectric superstrates. Superstrate loading of the antenna is found to ~,65/O  
cause a considerable shift in the resonance frequency. The driven patch with #\["y%;W  
superstrate behaves as an RL network. The maximum bandwidth of 6.21% is ASU\O3%%  
observed for the EMCA with a bakelite superstrate when the dielectric .. T@WMT,J6j
