Some studies on two-layer electromagnetically coupled microstrip ivg:`$a[  
antenna with dielectric cover X_GR{z%

Experimental investigations are carried out for two con® gurations, namely a driven 7OY<*ny  
hexagonal patch and an electromagnetically coupled microstrip antenna (EMCA), :+,>0

with di€ erent dielectric superstrates. Superstrate loading of the antenna is found to M\O6~UFq!  
cause a considerable shift in the resonance frequency. The driven patch with q$FwO"dC  
superstrate behaves as an RL network. The maximum bandwidth of 6.21% is [ fvip_Pt  
observed for the EMCA with a bakelite superstrate when the dielectric .. [~03Z[_"/
