The TEM horn aiiteiiiia, in its niost basic form, consists of two metallic @2R+?2 j  
sheets, each ail isoscclcs trianglc will1 tlic angle at the apex being a. The c*Q6k<SKR  
planes of‘ these triangles are separaled by the angle p, aud the antenna is A=l1_8,`h  
fed by a two-wire transmission line connected at the apices. Fig. 1 shows MB3 N3,yL  
the image equivalent of this structure: a single triangular sheet fed throqgh c%x.cbu>  
a metallic image plane by a coaxial line. The structure described above Behaves ErY-`8U"  
as a transmission line and will support a TEM wave. The characteristic m"tke'a
